Brother James & The Soul-Vation

Brother James & the Soul-Vation is a holy alliance of 1960's Detroit R&B with the British Mod-Freakbeat sound reminisent of The Yardbirds and The Pretty Things. Imagine a gospel tent-revival show cloaked in garage punk. Shouter vocals, sweet backing songbirds and fuzzed-out guitar make for a Seattle soul stew of the obscure and familiar. The cast of characters is a hodge-podge of local rockers including Brother James (The Bug Nasties), Astra Elane (Atomic Bride), Chuck Cyclone (Autolight Strike) and Ron Nine (Love Battery/Vaporland).
