First off, I don't know how to use this thing yet. I posted something for Nate under The clip from Cocktails. Second off, my band Whammies was set to play our last show this Friday, which saddens me but our egos and our no money, mo problems has gotten in the way of our creativity. Well some super femme group in Bellingham asked us to play, because they are stoked we have two girls in our band and think we are rad. Their band doesn't play instruments, but makes noise. They don't think they have to learn instruments because their lady parts speak for themselves. I never book the shows and said yes I'd play, but then when I found out two days ago the band we were playing with I said fuck no and now every fucking feminist hates me in this town and I actually recieved a nasty message left for me at work today. Not that I really give a fuck it's kind of humorous, unless I end up dead. Please check them out and if somehow I'm wrong let me know. The most important thing to look under is their flyers to see what they stand for.

I'm sorry but the Whammies are going to cancel. We got the info on the show super late, and we got one last show to say goodbye to eachother and our few fans, and I'm super confused about the "bands" not sure I share their sentiment or definetley confused about the forum they choose to get across their message or maybe that's the point is to have no message it's just chaos. I think it's extremely valuable to learn an instrument and try to get better at it, because it is a universal tool to provoke thoughts or emotion. Whammies is definetley not our best musical achievement as musicians( it also takes getting along and hard work which we needed to work on)but I don't want to listen to chaos. I'm sorry and I do not speak for the rest of the band, but I'd rather see my family on Friday.sorry,Brooke

I love the inherent hypocrisy of feminist groups like this. Namely, the attitude of constant victimization, i.e. our opinion is not taken seriously by mainstream audiences; therefore you shouldn't be able to voice your opinion at all. In the words of George W. you're either with us or you're against us. Fucking ridiculous. Regardless, you rock Brooke, sorry I never got to see the Whammies but I'm glad you're not playing your last show with a bunch of assholes.
