So I've seen some good movies lately and would love some recommendations from others.
Reprise- it's a Norwegian film I though I would hate, but actually really enjoyed. The story is about two young authors and how their fame of their books changes their perspective on life and work. I enjoyed it because if anything when I was younger I looked up to people, writers, musicians and artists of all kind who I felt a connection with. yet as I have grown older I realize, while it's okay to respect someone's work never assume that you have that much in common with them as a human. I hate most musicians, because they bore the fuck out of me and while they may be well versed in a subject, they usually lack sense of humor.
Edge of heaven-beautiful story, lesbians, turkey...

I just watched If I Should Fall From Grace, but I'd only recommend it if you like the Pogues or just want to watch someone with disastrous teeth mumble incoherently.
ReplyDeleteOther than that there was Sanjuro, which I'd highly recommend as a starter samurai film, if that's what you want to do. Or Role Models, if you're into guffaws.
Other than that, I'd recommend Le Samourai, and Burn After Reading, which yes, I just got around to seeing.
thanks patrick
